Nathan Vanzeyl
I have been a designer all my life. It started with building Legos and making spaces I liked. Now, I am learning how to design spaces the public would like and, most importantly, find magical.
During my time at UMKC, I have had the opportunity to create cutting-edge work and present it to expert professionals in the Kansas City area. I have worked on two research projects, one of which was original work that won me the distinction of Research Fellow at UMKC. I have also won local and national awards from the American Planning Association and other design groups for my work.
Our urban spaces are often uninspired and forgettable. Planning and design are about making spaces where people feel welcomed. My design goal is to create spaces people want to spend time in and remember even after they leave.
